Left about another two miles you will see the parking area on the right to Sylvan Meadow. You will pass a fire station on your left then the visitor center also on your Head to the hills and begin to climb up the Canyon. The Santa Rosa Plateau is North on the 15 about 9 miles. If you go past Pechanga east on Pechanga Parkway there is a series of fire roads. There are great trails there it is $5.00 per person to ride there. Vail lake is down Highway 79 south justĪ couple miles outside of Temecula. Most of the hills around Pechanga are in their reservation and closed to the public.
